Past Works: Love

I am busy, busy, busy creating and making classes so that I am ahead of schedule for the store. :-) So I don't have anything new as yet to really post for y'all. I am still getting the hang of remembering to post! And I can do it by phone too! Who knew?! lol

Here is a lovely canvas that I made a while a go. It is still my favourite. The photo is terrible, I am sorry about that! It is the only one I have. Here is a tip for you....photograph everything you make!!! Most of my creations have all been gifts and I don't have any evidence of what I have created. So snap away and record all that you've done. Even if it is just for a record and you can look back and see how your creativity has grown. Also should you apply for a Design Team you will have pics ready to go!

This canvas was a gift for a friend's 40th. There is quite a bit of texture and stamping on it that doesn't show in the picture. I think part of the reason it is my favourite is because it is the first ever canvas that I had ever made. I just sat down and started throwing things on! That's the way to do it! The verse written here is 1Corinthians 13: 4-7.

Some of the techniques used here is fussy cutting, stamped acetate, dimensional magic to create or enhance embellishments (word, butterflies and bird), Grungeboard (hinges) and die cutting. Broken China Distress Stain, Vintage Photo, Milled Lavender and Faded Jeans Distress Inks were used for the background.
So be free and experiment. Try out new styles and if it doesn't work, cover it up with a flower!

I'm still here!

Goodness has it been that long since I posted!?
Time certainly does fly. The past three weeks has been filled with Master Prince and Master Knight starting back at school for the year. They weren't the only ones having to adjust to new schedules! Hello 5:30am!

I am also very blessed to be a Guest Designer and teacher for The Scrap N Patch. I have taught one class already and am ready for my 2nd one. This is truly my dream job and I am incredibly blessed.

I will share with you what we are up to as each class comes along. Perhaps you will want to join in and have a go at the techniques I will be teaching.

These past two classes are about Watercolour techniques using Tim Holtz Distress Inks! It is so much fun! So stay tuned.

I am organising and creating my classes for the next two months. There will be a Shadow box in there as well as a canvas...So many goodies and so much fun to be had!

What have you been creating of late? I'd love to hear from you.

Blessings
Joan
